Edita Food Industries S.A.E. (EFID.CA on the Egyptian Exchange), a leading player in Egypt’s packaged snack-food market, announced today its results for the quarter and six-month period ended 30 June 2026. The Company sustained its strong growth trajectory in the second quarter, with consolidated revenues increasing 30.5% y-o-y to EGP 6.5 billion in 2Q2026, supported by continued volume expansion, healthy demand across key categories, and further progress in portfolio migration to higher price points. Gross profit rose 29.8% y-o-y to EGP 2.1 billion, with gross margin broadly stable at 33.0% compared to 33.2% in 2Q2025. The strong second-quarter performance built on the momentum established at the start of the year, bringing 1H2026 revenues to EGP 12.3 billion, up 32.5% y-o-y. Profitability continued to outpace top-line growth on a year-to-date basis, with gross profit increasing 38.3% y-o-y to EGP 4.1 billion and gross margin expanding to 33.9% from 32.4% in 1H2025. The first-half performance reflects Edita’s continued ability to translate sustained demand and volume growth into stronger profitability through disciplined pricing, cost management, and operating leverage.

Eng. Hani Berzi, Group Chairman, commented: “We are pleased to have sustained our strong momentum through the second quarter of 2026, delivering robust growth across both revenues and profitability and bringing a strong first half to a close. Our performance reflects healthy underlying demand, accelerating volume growth, and continued progress in migrating our portfolio toward higher-value price points, while disciplined cost management supported further margin expansion on a year-to-date basis. Our core Cakes and Bakery segments remained key growth drivers, complemented by encouraging momentum across our nascent segments. At the same time, we continued to invest in our long-term growth ambitions, expanding production capacity, introducing new products, and advancing our regional platform, including the ramp-up of local manufacturing in Iraq. Looking ahead, we remain confident in the strength of the business and the opportunities ahead, supported by resilient consumption, continued innovation, operational investments, and further expansion across Egypt and our regional markets.”
